Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS show 'Mom.' Calvano is from California, and began her career in athletics. Later, however, Calvano determined to pursue a career in acting. On CBS's show "NCIS" her debut came in 2010. The biographical crime drama film J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year later. She is one of today's most promising actors in recent times. As a result of her appearance in "NCIS," she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In 2013 she was also nominated for another Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom" in the series the first three seasons of in addition to making several cameos in Season 4. Her outing in 'Mom' garnered her an award called the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
