Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th 20th, 1980) is a famous American performer, singer, and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals including Wicked and Legally Blonde and Hair. For her role in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed directors and actors on TV and stage productions. Her award-winning career by working on new projects. Ashford will be next starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani in Hulu restricted production Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is in the process of completing production for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust featuring Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will air through Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. Ashford will return to Broadway in the month of March 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will be the producer and director for the production. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main character in Ryan Murphy's new FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. She is no stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her portrayal of Essie. Additional Broadway appearances for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, as well as her role as Lauren on Kinky Boots. For this performance, she was awarded a Tony Award nomination. Ashford, who was raised in Denver, now spends time in between Los Angeles & New York.
